The Mind
Remember
Never fall out of love with who you are because of the shape that you are in. Our outer layer does not equate to who we are on the inside. We are in an age where the perfect physique gets thrown in our face every day. Whether it be magazines, social media or a movie we can be bombarded with the idea that our body is not enough. We can never truly be body confident until we start to truly value our self-worth.
Don’t lose yourself
A healthy functioning physique is what we should strive for. A person does not need a six pack to be healthy nor should they prevent themselves from enjoying themselves due to a ‘diet’. There is a line in the sand though. Obesity is not healthy nor should it be advocated as to be accepted rather more tools should be put in place for prevention rather than working on a cure. In the same breath the same can be said for anorexia. ‘Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels’ the person who came up with that clearly never put malteasers in popcorn in the cinema. A lot of the time it can seem like nutrition and exercise can be out of our control especially with the pressures of work, family and social life. However investing time in oneself is truly one of the most self-rewarding acts we can do. All its takes is a bit of planning and a dash of accountability.
Love yourself
Body scars, stretch marks, birthmarks, hairy feet are all part of the body we were born with. Unfortunately you can’t change who you. Fall in love with your flaws and you will love yourself although it’s not an easy process. Gratitude is everything. Be thankful for who you are but never settle and always invest in yourself physically, mentally and spiritually.
